Survey Says Americans are Optimistic about Economic Future

There is little surprise that the public in general is getting more optimistic about the economy.

Americans have grown more optimistic about the economy and the direction of the country in the 11 weeks since President Obama was inaugurated, suggesting that he is enjoying some success in his critical task of rebuilding the nations confidence, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll. [Excerpt from the NY Times]

And as any good economist will tell you, this is the foundation for a rebound of the economy. Economics tends to be a self fulfilling prophecy when it comes to swings in the economy. When people are positive, positive things happen, when they are negative, negative things happen.

In the Commercial Lending arena there has been more action over the last 11 weeks than there has been for months prior to Obama taking office. This is a sign of confidence and a willingness of Business to get back to work.

We really need more proactive measures to get us out of the recession we are in because if we wait to react to changes the changes will come slower.

There are many companies that have put their purchases on hold and that is what helps to stall the economy. The public and businesses need to start buying so they can start selling.

Obama is doing an incredible job of that and he is doing all he can, but he can not do it alone or make the economy rebound with magic. As much as many people want to wake up and have it all fixed for us, we have to make the actions our selves.

President Obama is leading the way and doing damage control on the economy and is creating methods to stimulate the economy but we all need to do what we can.

Those companies that have been patching that machine up for the 15th time or cut back on the workforce because there is no more room in the building need to do what is best for their business and get these things taken care of properly. Replace that machine, do that addition or buy that other building. Prices for these things has fallen drastically from only a year or two ago. This is your opportunity to make a good business decision so make it count!
